AGM

AGM

The association AGM was held on the 27th March at Healds Hall Hotel. The meeting was well attended with Paul Taylor (Association President) chairing the meeting. The constituency report and the accounts for the previous year were presented and approved. It was announced that Councillor Andrew Palfreeman was to retire from the council, resulting in an additional candidate for the Birstall and Birkinshaw Ward.

The following officers were elected. Vice-President Susan Bell-Proctor, Chairman Mohammed Laher, Deputy Chairman (Political) Paul Young, Deputy Chairman (Membership and Fundraising) Keiron Gavaghan and Treasurer David Hall. A vote of thanks was given to the retiring officers. Two representatives were appointed to the area committee along withTwo representatives were appointed for the approvals panel

The following candidates were appointed for the local elections Paul Young Batley West, Keiron Gavaghan Batley East, Marc Thomson Birstall and Birkinshaw, Robert Thornton Heckmondwike along with David Hall (Liversedge and Gomersal) Liz Smaje (Birstall and Birkinshaw) previously selected
