Michelle Grainger-Mead

Liversedge and Gomersal Councillor

Michelle, originally from Wales, moved to Yorkshire for a Graduate job at Foxes biscuits 27yrs ago and has never left. Michelle lives in Gomersal with her husband Peter and their children Reuben & Poppy.

She has been an active member of the local community for most of that time. She's a founding member of the LGCA now in it's 20th year, she's run a local NSPCC Fundraising Group, Chair of the PTA, Governor of Gomersal Primary for 6 years as well as helping to run a Charity set up in the name of her son Reuben. As well as other Charitable ventures, Michelle was on the Core Committee and heavily campaigned and lobbied for a school in our area which is now known as the highly successful BBG Academy. 

Michelle was elected as Liversedge and Gomersal Councillor in 2016 and as well as her core Councillor duties she has played a very active role on the Planning Committee and Licensing Committee for the whole of her time as Councillor.
